Hands-On History Field Trips in Montgomery County, Maryland offers a variety of educational programs
keyed to social studies curriculum and environmental studies for students and groups of all ages...especially elementary grade
levels. The programs are a resource in experiential environmental education (EEE) and are presented both inside the
historic academy and outside on the grounds. These venues allow students to participate in authentic learning experiences
at WMM and in the great outdoors. See our Field Trip Program Listings in the menu and schedule your class or grade level
for a program keyed to their grade in social studies or science. Local lore suggests that historic Brookeville was a stop
on The Underground Railroad! Historical Teas and Traces of the Underground Railroad are also presented to groups by reservation. Special
event teas and Birthday Party Theme Teas for children are available by reservation only. Participate in Tea & History!
